Rigged model of the mystery ship MARY CELESTE, made by Alexander Law in 1949, as she was found abandoned on the afternoon of December 4, 1872, by the crew of the British brigantine Dei Gratia. The ship is rigged as she was found - sails torn, hatches open and the ship's boat missing. Set on a hand-executed chart in the exact position in which she was picked up. The hull is black with yellow striping. Blue deck house roofing. The drawer contains a first edition of "Mary Celeste, The Odyssey of an Abandoned Ship" by Charles Edey Fay.
