Model of bow of sailing vessel showing the two bower anchors and chains, the bowsprit with all rigging including the dolphin striker. Trailboards with an eagle's head of gold. Designed for hanging on a wall. Hull is painted black, underwater body red. Restored. Cut off just abaft the foremast, the section shows: formast, bowsprit and rigging, anchors, catheads, trailboards, figurehead, dolphin striker, jibboom, martingale. Possibly club insignia carved by Capt. William Burdick for Jibboom Club, New London (see "New London Day", Feb. 17, 1891.)
