Rigged model of the 5-masted schooner MARGARET HASKELL, built 1979-1980 by George S. Parker; scale 1/8" to the foot. Model has black hull, brown bottom, white deck structures and trim, natural deck and spars. Most fittings are brass, mast hoops are copper. Hull made of white pine, with a variety of hardwoods in the remainder of the model. Mounted on cherry base with turned brass stanchions. MARGARET HASKELL, 5-masted schooner, designed by B.B. Crowninshield, blt. 1904 at Camden, Maine by H.M. Bean, 2114 gross tons, 291.5 x 48 x 25.4. Owned by Coastwise Transportation Co. Lost Feb. 28, 1916 en route Pensacola, Fla. to Genoa, Italy.
