Collector's model of record-breaking speedboat MISS AMERICA X. Built to 1:43 scale; produced in England by Touchwood Models. In the speedboat's cockpit, there are two seats and a steering wheel sitting just behind four engines with 24 open exhaust stacks. The four engines are all marked "PACKARD." The boat is light and dark wood, and black below the waterline. Printed on both sides: "U-10 MISS AMERICA X." Model is mounted on a dark wood base, with name plate that reads: "MISS AMERICA X / WATER SPEED RECORD / 20TH SEPTEMBER 1932 124.91 MPH." Smaller plate is printed with text and a signature: "MADE BY: SF DELF(?)." Model sits on a plexiglass platform, with a seperate plexiglass vitrine lid. Accompanied by original box.
