Scale model of the schooner yacht DAUNTLESS, ex L'HIRONDELLE. Model is black above, brown below, mahogany cabin, red cushions in cockpit, brass wheel and fittings, gold scroll trailboards. There are 2 small boats suspended from davits, white outside, gray inside, equipped with 2 oars each. The New York Yacht Club burgee flies from the foremast. Plaque in front right corner reads: "DAUNTLESS/ BUILT BY FORSYTH & MORGAN 1866 MYSTIC BRIDGE, CONNECTICUT/ LENGTH 120' 9" O.A. BEAM 25' 0" MODEL SCALE 1/4" = 1 FOOT/ MODEL BY BOUCHER-LEWIS 1966 NEW YORK, NEW YORK/ FOR STERLING T. TOOKER/ IN RESPECTFUL REGARD FOR/ THE MEMBERS OF THE DAUNTLESS CLUB, ESSEX, CONNECTICUT." Model in a 1/4" plate glass case 52" l. x 12" w. x 35-3/4" h. on a raised mahogany base.
