Original builder's half model of the fishing and trading packet DOWN EAST. Vessel built at Norwich, Conn., 1894 by Austin B. Allen of Yarmouth, N.S. Dim. 45', beam 12', keel 6', no centerboard. 10' bowsprit of 2" plank, tapered. A large high cabin, one mast. 12 or 14 H.P. Fairbanks. Material of half model pine lifts, painted white topsides, green bottom.
