Tea caddy, Chinese export, irregular octagon, hinged lid, brass bail handle on both sides, brass bat escutcheon for lock plate, circular brass medallion on lid above lock plate. Black lacquer with mother-of-pearl inlay in leaf designs on sides; on top landscape scene with 2 figures (most of mother-of-pearl destroyed); mother-of-pearl floral decoration on inside of lid; lead liner with circular opening with lid, box lined with pink & red paper, printed floral designs, same paper covered outside of lead liner.
