Possibly fossilized walrus tusk, probably primitive Eskimo tool. Slightly curving bone tapers at end, where it has been chipped and burned to a dull flat edge. About 3" from broadest end it is cut in on 2 sides for hand grip. Striation visible where outer surface is worn (chipped) away. Scraper made of old ivory. Ref. Jim Houston 1/21/00.
