Sperm whale tooth. On one side, two Indigenous people, one carrying a rifle, as well as an anchor, eagle, and shield. On the other, a little girl and boy playing with a dog on a leash, and a cupid above. Image of children with dog extracted from Harper's "New Monthly Magazine," September 1854. Rose and leaves at the top of the shield. Tooth is very yellowed.
