This race was a continuation of another race starting in New Rochelle to New London, Connecticut (1st leg of the Brooklyn Ocean Challenge Cup race) and from from New London to Cape May (known as The New London to Cape May Race) and 2nd and final leg of Brookly Ocean Challenge Cup Race.
