Onion Patch Series (1978)

Newport International Race Week which was sponsored by the Ida Lewis Yacht Club of Newport, Rhode Island of which the Onion Patch Series was part of the events held June 13, 1978. The Onion Patch Series consisted of a long distance race from Oyster Bay, New York to Newport, Rhode Island, 2 Olympic course races in Newport, R.I. on the America's Cup course and the Bermuda Race.
