Engraving; whale or Greenland fishery, c. 1780, engraved by E. Kirkall after drawing by F. Baston. Hand colored. Spirited print w/many ships, boats, sailors, polar bears, whales and walruses, one bear on ice floe, and 2 ducks on the tail of one whale which appears above water, and another baker's dozen right of center. Men are rowing, and harpooning whales, polar bear and walrus. South Sea Company. Very full and busy scene. British flag flies on one ship at left.
