Wooden sea chest, painted dark green, with rope handles. Has keyhole and locking device, no key. Inside cover, in an oval 16" x 11" wide a full-rigged ship is painted, flying an American flag. A small compartment, as long as chest is wide, x 5", occupies upper right-hand corner. Chest was purchased in Maine.
