Shield-shaped, brass luggage tag, imprinted: "Steamer Victor #17" from Mallory steamer which sank in 1872. VICTOR, bu. Mystic, 1863, and charted by Army during the Civil War. Following war, she was outfitted for peacetime service and ran in the New Orleans and Havana trade for C.H. Mallory & Co. Lost off Jupiter Light, Florida, 4/10/1872.
