Shadowbox model of the clipper ship DAVID CROCKETT made around 1890-1900 by Martin Albright, a Norwegian, when a deckhand on seagoing barge IDA (Captain - Oliver Deming, uncle of donor). The model hung in cabin of the barge IDA. Builder was also a sailor on the DAVID CROCKETT. Model is brown below waterline, black above, with two yellow stripes. Max. l. 23 1/2". A lighthouse stands at extreme length, a pilot schooner under bow of the ship and a steam tug off stern.
