Carved bas-relief finished teak panel from auxiliary steel bark ALOHA II. Part of frieze depicting evolution of water craft, No. 14, MONITOR and MERRIMAC: two ships in naval battle. Four bolt holes, 2 at each end. Stamped in wood on back "AFTER END AFT DECK HOUSE 177" and "FREEZE" and "THAWT SHIP". Long edges beveled.
