Standing sailor wears black hat, red striped shirt and red tie under a blue jacket with gray trousers, white stockings and black shoes; a white, tied bundle and walking stick lie by his feet; To his left, a female figure with sad expression, seated on brick wall backed by small, leafless tree, dressed in hat tied under chin, a full length yellow outergarment over a gray skirt, white apron, white stockings and tan shoes. companion piece to 1960.324 ("Return").
