Staffordshire pottery figural group, unmarked, with enamel glaze, on rectangular base with canted corners and handwritten title cartouche reading "Return." Standing sailor wears black hat, black striped shirt and tie, under a deep blue suit, white stockings and black buckled shoes, one resting on a gray box labeled "Dollars." Seated, smiling female figure to his right backed by small, leafed tree, one hand in his, other resting on his back, dressed in hat tied under chin, yellow full lenght outergarment with lavendar shawl colloar, fastened across the chest, over a white skirt, green dress and wearing black, buckled shoes. Companion piece to 1960.323 ("Departure").
