NORTHERN LIGHT, clipper ship, 1021 tons, was designed by Samuel Pook and built by E. & H. O. Briggs of South Boston, Massachusetts in 1851. The painting is signed in the lower right, "Charles Robert Patterson". Rubber stamped on back of the photograph, "Peter A.
