Engraved on other side "PRESENTED BY THE/ New York Yacht Club/ TO THE OWNERS/ of/ DEFENDER/ in recognition of their/ successful defence/ of the/ America's Cup/ in/ September/ 1895". Below, seal of New York Yacht Club. Along bottom rim stamped "BLACK, STARR & FROST." Stamped on bottom "BLACK, STARR & FROST.", "STERLING", "925/ 1000".
