The fifth man from the left may be then New York governor, later four-term president, Franklin D. Roosevelt. Typed note on back: "When the 25 Governors in conference for three days at Eastern Point are out fro pleasure, the talk on prohibition is sidetracked and they are here seen soldily united in their salute for OLD GLORY. The Governors are watching the military manoeuvers at Actor Fred Stone; s Star Ranch in East Lyme, Conn."
