Half model of centerboard sloop or schooner mounted on backboard. Model has nine lifts, natural finish. In pencil on top of deck: "60 ft Keel/ 19 1/2 ft Beam/ 6 1/2 ft Deep". Note on reverse: "This model was in Forest & Stream office in 1883./ It was sent in by David Kirby, presumable to indicate his skill as a modeler?/ W.P. Stephens". W. P. Stephens Collection.
