Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken at Repulse Bay, Hudson Bay, January 12, 1902. Depicts an Inuit man with rifle demonstrating a hunting signal. Rifles were obtained in trade from the American whalers. Comer identified this image as "Photo #34, #82, a native (Sam) showing how the natives signal to each other when deer are in sight, Repulse Bay, Jan. 12, 1902."
