Built 1914 at Blohm & Vos, Hamburg; owner in 1920 was U.S. Shipping Board; in 1921, the U.S. Navy. Maiden voyage in 1914, Hamburg-American Line; seized by US in 1917 and converted to troopship, renamed LEVIATHAN; reconditioned for U.S. Lines after war.
