For the Macmillan Cup; Yale, Harvard, Cornell, Williams, Princeton, and Dartmouth....the committee established a line inside the Manhasset Bay Harbor off Barker's Point and sent the fleet out to Hewletts Point, a reach for the first leg, thence up to Sand's Point, a beat and followed by a spinnaker runt ot the finish line."(Jun17th). The races were siale din Atlantic class sloops, each crew sailing one race in each boat of the fleet (9 colleges represented).
