Tinted lantern slide prepared by the American Museum of Natural History from an original photograph by Capt. George Comer. Used by Comer to illustrate lectures about his Arctic and seafaring experiences. Depicts the three-masted schooner GEORGE B. CLUETT off Cape York, Greenland, circa 1915-16. Capt. Comer served as Ice Pilot of the CLUETT, which was sent by the American Museum of Natural History to relieve members of its Crocker Land Expedition. Photographed circa 1915-16.
