Quilted glazed cotton handsewn quilt made by the Portland Ladies Soldiers Society; 35 squares (11-1/4") each signed with a maker's name, one dated 1864; marine, military, patriotic, and masonic motifs are printed, painted appliqued and embroidered, using both hand and machine quilting; background material is 2 shades of tan; motifs generally in red, white, and blue.
