Apothecary chest, mahogany; recessed brass carrying handle at top and in drawer at bottom; 2 doors open out above drawer and show 4 bottles, 3 stamped "JAMES FOLSOM/ SHIP'S APOTHECARY/ BOSTON U.S.A."; drawer under bottles has 2 compartments; left compartment has false bottom which tips for removal and reveals 2 round wells; each door has 6 red velvet lined compartments; 3 bottles remain in these; when doors are open and a hidden bolt is released a back panel slides and 4 more bottles appear; only one bottle left in hidden compartment
