Tuscan walnut rectangular extension dining table with draw ends. Italian, 18th century. Alterations and repairs; used by Harold S. Vanderbilt aboard his yacht VARA. Sterling silver plaque attached to surface of table reading: "This is the dining room table used by/ Harold S. Vanderbilt/ aboard his yacht "VARA" during his three/ successful defenses of the "America's Cup" with/ "ENTERPRISE -- "RAINBOW" and "RANGER"/ 1930 1933 1936".
