Framed watercolor and gouache painting by Jurgen Frederick Huge, of schooner HENRY A. DEMING (bu. 1864, E. Haddam, CT; Capt. F.A. Boardman & others of E. Haddam were the owners. Same thru 1875 - not in 1877.) Port view with 6 figures on deck. There is a name pennant flying from the foremast, initialed pennant and homeward bound pennant flying from main mast. Vessel has black hull, gold cove stripe, billethead, trail boards and a quarter board on after deckhouse. To the left of the vessel are a lightship, lighthouse, and a sloop; to the right a lighthouse on a bluff and a sloop.
