The image copied by the Rosenfelds is a head view of the American naval architect Edward Burgess (1851-1891) of Boston, Massachusetts who designed, among many other craft, the America's Cup defenders PURITAN (1885), MAYFLOWER (1886), and VOLUNTEER (1887).
