Photograph from the collection of Captain George Comer (1858-1937) of East Haddam, Connecticut. Photo of whaling schooner ERA. On rear: "Putting on the sheathing / while on the ways / Schooner ERA." Comer made several whaling voyages to Hudson Bay onboard the ERA between 1889-1905.
