Wood sign: "177/ Christopher C. Brand/ Whaling Gun & Bomb Lance/ Factory 1860" [Norwich, Connecticut]. Sign is gray (may actually be faded white) with black lettering. Dark gray stripe around front edge, which is beveled. Piece missing at upper right. Also has what appears to be pencil marks. Two eye screw hangers at top.
