Image of 185' Gardner & Cox designed, Townsend & Downey built three masted auxiliary schooner ATLANTIC (built 1903 in Shooters Island, N.Y.) off New London, CT. Visible in image: port bow view of ATLANTIC on starboard broad reach under gaff-rigged fore, main and mizzensails and topsails, staysail, jib, outer jib and flying jib, Gerard B. Lambert's private signal-green swallowtail with yellow horizontal stripes- flies from mainmast, and the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club burgee- blue triangle with cross of white stars- flies from foremast, land in background.
