8x10 gelatin silver print from a negative by Rosenfeld and Sons taken during the Fisher Allison Trophy Race in Ontario, Canada, in 1922. Image shows a port beam view of the runabout MISS PEERLESS II, #F3, underway at high speed with two men on board. In the distance is a shoreline with trees. NOTE: original neg. number did not match print so a new number had to be provided. Embossed on the print at lower right: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / N.Y." Image is heavily outlined in black and white. Written on the verso in pencil: "MISS PEERLESS II / ILLUS 2268 / B4597 / 1004 [circled] / 8715F" and stamped in a purple box in purple ink: "MOTOR BOATING / Ed. Dept. / No. [3174 added in pencil] / Size... / Sent [8/31 added in pencil] / Wanted [9/2 added in pencil]". Condition: support is brittle, pinholes all four corners. Verso condition: dent from outlining from front; Q1 adhesive residue at corner, pencil marks; Q2 adhesive residue at corner, pencil marks, stamped; Q4 pencil marks.
