Image of 69' Burgess & Morgan designed, Abeking & Rasmussen built 12 meter class cutter ZIO and sloop NIGHTWIND (built 1928 in Lemwerder, Germany) cruising on Long Island Sound at 1939 New York Yacht Club Cruise. Visible in image: cropped starboard beam view of NIGHTWIND (12/1) and ZIO to her port side running before the wind under marconi-rigged mainsails and spinnakers creating large bow waves.
