Long shot of the Sound Interclub race event showing #ISC6, ERMAR on the left and #ISC3, BLUE STREAK on the right, racing in high winds with BLUE STREAK with a torn sail just before being dismasted. ERMAR was a 28'9" Sound Interclub Class sloop, sail #ISC6, built by Henry B. Nevins of City Island, New York from designs by Charles Drown Mower in 1926 and owned by Donald H. Cowl in 1929. BLUE STREAK was also a 28'9" Sound Interclub Class sloop, sail #ISC3, and was owned by Ralph Manny in 1929. Typed neg. sleeve info.: "35115-F" Stamped: "NEWPORT 1929".
