5 x 7 glass plate negative taken by Rosenfeld and Sons on September 9, 1916, at a naval review. Port beam view of the Virginia Class battleship NEW JERSEY. Vessel seen in background with unidentified tender in the foreground. NEW JERSEY was built in Quincy, MA, by the Fore River Shipbuilding Corp., and was launched November 4, 1904. She was 441'3" in length(oa). September 5 1923, she was sunk as target by Army Air Corps off Diamond Shoals, North Carolina. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "328 / 9/9/16 / Box 44".
