Starling Burgess designed, Reuben Bigelow built auxiliary schooner NINA (built 1928 in Monument Beach, Mass.) off Martha's Vineyard. Visible in image: port bow view of WATER GYPSY (49) blocking NINA (2) on starboard close reach under marconi rigged mainsails, gaff-rigged foresail and staysail, a crew member is furling jib on WATER GYPSY, both schooners are heeled over, rails down with pennants flying from mainmast.
