It is here that commuting club members gathered on their way to or from suburban and summer residences up the Hudson River, on Long Island Sound, Long Island's South Shore or from New Jersey. Two of the yachts have been identified as SHADOW K a 150' Consolidated built motor yacht owned by Carl G. Fisher and VARA, a 150' Herreshoff built motor yacht owned by Harold S. Vanderbilt.
