5x7 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1929 of the New York Yacht Club's 26th Street vessel landing taken from an elevated view in a building looking down on the East River off New York City at commuter cruisers and motor yachts owned by various New York Yacht Club members. It is here that commuting club members gathered on their way to or from suburban and summer residences up the Hudson River, on Long Island Sound, Long Island's South Shore or from New Jersey. Two of the yachts have been identified as SHADOW K a 150' Consolidated built motor yacht owned by Carl G. Fisher and VARA, a 150' Herreshoff built motor yacht owned by Harold S. Vanderbilt.
