11x14 gelatin silver print made by David Rosenfeld from an original negative photographed November 23, 1963 in the lofting room at the Minneford Yacht Yard on City Island, New York. Image is of Nils Halvorsen, a loftsman, on his knees bent over lofting the lines for the future America's Cup defender CONSTELLATION, #US20. Mr. Halvorsen's grandson stated that Nils worked with his face so close to the floor because at this time in his life he was almost blind but came out of retirement to work on Olin's last two America's Cup defenders because Olin Stephens asked him to. Handwritten on verso in black wax crayon: "Nov. '63 / at Minnefords/ by Dave Rosenfeld." Ink note top left edge: "11-23-63" and also lower right area: "#63-84-13".
