ALALA was a 48'5" Burgess & Morgan, Inc. designed International 8 Meter One Design sloop built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1928 in Lemwerder, Germany. ISTALENA was an 87' Herreshoff M Class designed cutter built 1929 at Herreshoff Mfg. of Bristol, Rhode Island. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: “68606F / A22 / 8/3 / M10 / 7/16/34“.
