5 x 7 Kodak safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons circa 1930. Image of large work schooners off shore at City Island, NY, waiting for the wind and tide to push them eastward. Visible in image: six schooners- five of which are 3 masted, one is four masted, with main, fore, mizzen and spanker sails set, two have mizzen topsails raised, silhouetted against sun, sparkles on the water, shoreline in background.
