Gielow designed, Bath Iron Works built steam twin-screw schooner yacht CORSAIR (built 1930 in Bath, Me.) and 127.5' W. Starling Burgess designed, Herreshoff built J class sloop RAINBOW (built 1934 in Bristol, R.I.) at America's Cup Trials, 1934. Visible in image: long shot, centered, port beam view of SHUTTLE and port quarter view of CORSAIR underway with burgees and American Yacht Ensigns in foreground observe a starboard beam view of RAINBOW and unidentified schooner on port close-hauled tack- sloop has marconi-rigged mainsail, staysail and jib and schooner under marconi-rigged mainsail, gaff-rigged foresail, staysail and jib.
