Image of the 127.5' William Starling Burgess design, Herreshoff built J class sloop RAINBOW, built in 1934 in Bristol, Rhode Island during the time of the New York Yacht Club Cruise. Visible in image is RAINBOW on a starboard quarter view showing the stern, with the name, "RAINBOW / NEW YORK" on the transom, on port close reach under mainsail, staysail and jib, crew lying on windward rail, large stern wake and bow spray. Stamped on original negative sleeve: "77007F" and typed: "RAINBOW / NYYC CRUISE 1936" CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, Rosenfeld Collection.
