Starling Burgess designed, Herreshoff built J class sloop RAINBOW (built 1934 in Bristol, R.I.) underway. Visible in image: starboard beam views of RANGER (J/5) in foreground and RAINBOW (J/4) in background on port close reaches under marconi rigged mainsails, staysails and double sheeted jibs, American Yacht Ensigns fly from mainsails and pennants from mainmasts.
