7x5 Kodak safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons July 14, 1932 during the time of the Bermuda Race. Image is a port beam view of DORADE on a starboard tack with deck visible undersail. DORADE won the transatlantic race from Newport, Rhode Island to Plymouth, England in 1931 and she was the Class B winner in the Bermuda Race in 1932. DORADE, sail #16, was a 52'2" auxiliary yawl designed by Sparkman and Stephens, Inc., and built by the Minneford Yacht Yard in City Island, New York in 1930 and was owned by Rod and Olin Stephens, her designers, from 1930 to 1935.
