5 x 7 Kodak negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons during the time of the New London Races on June 19, 1930 before the start of the Harvard-Yale Boat Races on June 20th . Starboard beam view of the motor yacht JEM (ex: JESSICA) on the Thames River off New London, Connecticut, passing Fort Trumbull seen in the background. JEM was designed by John H. Wells, and built by Consolidated shipbuilding Corporation in 1930. Jeremiah Milbanks' private signal seen flying and several passengers seen on board. Vessel was renamed JESSICA after 1973.
