7x5 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons during the time of the Bermuda Race in 1936. Long shot of KIRAWAN, undersail, port beam view, a 53 ft. auxiliary cutter designed by Philip L. Rhodes of Cox & Stevens, Inc. and built by Jakobson & Peterson, Inc. in 1936 for Robert P. Baruch of New York. Following behind her is the large 50' Matthews cruiser MONSOON owned by Dr. Herman B. Baruch. Information from the verso of a print says that KIRAWAN was the winner of the Bermuda Race on corrected time. She took the Bermuda Trophy and the Class B. prize.
