VALKYRIE was a 38'9" Bounty Class aux. sloop designed by Rhodes and built by Coleman in 1940. Image of vessel undersail on a brisk, windy day, starboard quarter view, heeled way over on a port tack with rails awash and deck visible, clouds in the background as well as shoreline. Neg. #66892 is made from a print which is a composite of #116725F (vessel) and #112599F (clouds). Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "66892 / 3046-19".
